more details : Linseis DSC
Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) is the most popular thermal analysis technique. It measures endothermic and exothermic transitions as a function of temperature.-- Endothermic = heat flows into a sample
-- Exothermic = heat flows out of the sample
The instrument is used to characterize polymers, pharmaceuticals, foods/biologicals, organic chemicals and inorganics. Transitions measured include Tg, melting, crystallization, polymorphism, curing and cure kinetics, onset of oxidation and heat capacity.
