DIL Horizontal Dilatometer | Thermal Expansion Measurement

Product details

Horizontal Dilatometer (DIL) | High-Precision Thermal Analysis System

This system is a high-precision horizontal dilatometer (DIL) designed to measure the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE), phase transition temperatures, sintering behavior, and high-temperature dimensional stability. It is suitable for R&D and quality control of ceramics, metals, composites, and other advanced materials. The L75 PT HS/HD series is specifically developed for academic research and laboratory applications, supporting thermal expansion measurements of solid, powder, and liquid samples.

Measurement Capabilities

  • Coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) measurement
  • Thermal analysis and high-temperature dimensional change measurement
  • Analysis of phase transitions, sintering behavior, thermal decomposition, and glass transition temperature
  • Optional horizontal or vertical measurement configurations
  • Single-rod or dual-rod LVDT measurement modules

Key Features

  • High-precision measurement: Testing can be performed under vacuum, oxidizing, or reducing atmospheres.
  • Automatic force control: Adjustable contact force from 10 to 1000 mN for different sample types.
  • Multi-functional thermal analysis: Includes CTE, linear expansion, physical expansion, sintering temperature, softening point, and glass transition temperature.
  • Flexible furnace options: Multiple furnace types available from low temperature to ultra-high temperature ranges.
  • Chinese-language software interface: User-friendly operation with data export to Excel.
  • Wide range of optional sample holders and gas control modules.

Available Furnace Temperature Ranges

  • Low-temperature configuration: -180°C to +500°C
  • High-temperature configuration: Room temperature (RT) to 2000°C

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Can the DIL be operated with atmosphere control?
A: Yes. Most models support vacuum and protective gas atmospheres such as nitrogen and argon, making them suitable for sensitive sample measurements.

Q: What sample sizes can be measured?
A: Standard samples are rod-shaped with diameters of Ø6–20 mm. Customized sample holders or push rods can be provided upon request.

DEMO Service

A DEMO unit is available for sample testing and data comparison.
