Mesoporous Material Adsorption/Desorption Analysis System — Applications and Technical Features
Application Scope
- Physical adsorption isotherm (physisorption isotherm) measurements for mesoporous materials
- Surface area analysis (BET, Langmuir)
- Pore size distribution analysis (BJH, t-plot, DR, DA, MP, HK, SF, NLDFT, etc.)
- Adsorption and desorption kinetics studies
- Heat of adsorption calculation
- Designed for high-throughput research, enabling simultaneous multi-sample analysis
Measurement Principles
- Static volumetric physisorption method: Adsorption/desorption isotherms are generated through precise control of gas dosing and pressure variation, allowing accurate analysis of surface area and pore size distribution.
- Independent station operation: Each analysis station is equipped with an independent dosing manifold and pressure transducer (1000 mmHg), and supports in-situ degassing with a maximum heating temperature of up to 400°C.
Instrument Features & Benefits
- Configurable number of analysis stations: 1, 2, or 4 independent stations
- Each station features an independent pressure sensor and gas inlet, enabling experiments under different conditions (temperature and gas type)
- Fully automated, software-controlled in-situ degassing; optional external degassing units available
- Three-stage evacuation process designed to enhance safety for highly porous and fine-powder samples
- Real-time display of pressure versus time curves to facilitate equilibrium determination
- Optional pycnometry (density measurement) function
- Dual-layer filtration protection to prevent sample contamination of the instrument
- Dosing volume and equilibrium parameters can be adjusted in real time during analysis without restarting the measurement
